Terms of Service
Last updated: July 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the JSON Recon API, MCP Server, or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
JSON Recon provides APIs for extracting Schema.org JSON-LD from public pages and assessing the consistency of Product fields with a requested page at observation time. The Service is available via API key authentication and the x402 payment protocol (USDC on Base network).
3. Pricing and Payment
- Lite extraction is $0.005, Full extraction is $0.01, and Verified Product is $0.02 per successful request.
- API Key users prepay credits via Stripe. Credits are non-refundable except when automatically refunded due to extraction failures (access denied, error pages, or service errors).
- x402 payment authorization settles only after a successful response. Rejected and failed requests do not settle.
- The free
/checkendpoint,/healthendpoint, and discovery endpoints incur no charges.
4. Automatic Refunds
If the Service fails or rejects a request, API key credits are automatically refunded. For x402 requests, failure responses are returned before settlement, so the payment authorization is not captured.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or payment mechanisms.
- Submit URLs that intentionally target private, internal, or restricted network addresses.
- Resell extracted data without proper attribution to the original source URLs.
6. Rate Limits
The Service enforces rate limits to ensure fair usage. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary blocking. Current limits are displayed in API response headers.
7. Data Handling
- Results may reflect a recent observation of the requested public page and include an observation time when applicable.
- We store your email address and API key hash for account management. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.
- Extraction logs may be retained for operational monitoring and debugging purposes.
8. No Warranty / Service Level
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of extractions, or availability of any specific feature. A Verified Product verdict evaluates internal consistency with representations on the requested page at observation time; it is not an independent guarantee of merchant truth, inventory, authenticity, or future price.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JSON Recon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
